Tips for parents

To help your child get the most out of their lessons, please remember to:
  • Equip them properly: jacket, mittens, goggles, sunscreen, tissues, etc.
  • Label their clothing and skis,
  • Avoid following or calling out to your child during lessons,
  • Inform us of any health issues your child may have,
  • Helmet use is strongly recommended for children on the slopes.
  • Let the instructors decide if your child needs to change groups,
  • Remember, your child is on holiday! The goal is for them to have fun and want to come back. So, respect their pace and don’t push them to be a champion too soon!

General Advice

For smooth running of the lessons, please respect the following rules:
  • Bring your lesson card or ticket when attending group or private lessons,
  • Present the ticket corresponding to the day and time to your instructor at the start of each lesson,
  • Each lesson card is personal and non-transferable,
  • Arrive on time for both group and private lessons; any lateness will be deducted from the lesson time,
  • Have a valid lift pass for the duration of the lessons,
  • Be properly equipped and dressed for the conditions,
  • The esf accepts no responsibility for any material or personal injuries that may occur to students,
  • The esf reserves the right to cancel or combine lessons if fewer than 4 students are enrolled,
  • Weather conditions, lift breakdowns, or other accidents are beyond the esf's control; therefore, lessons cannot be canceled or rescheduled for these reasons,
  • The esf does not provide insurance for students; we recommend purchasing the “Carré Neige” insurance.

How to choose a ski pass

Please note: The ski lift pass is not included in the lesson price and is required to participate in esf Les Saisies lessons. For certain levels, a discounted pass is available (see conditions below).

Some advice

Children under 5 years old benefit from a free ski pass. Simply present proof of age at the ski lift ticket office. Don’t forget to top up or purchase a ski pass card on site.

For all our lessons, a “Les Saisies” ski pass is required from day one. Please note: For the Team Rider course and group lessons at Class 4 level, the “Espace Diamant” ski pass is required.

Discounted Ski Pass

Take advantage of a specially designed discounted ski pass, valid only for children in alpine skiing levels Ourson, Flocon, and 1ère étoile, as well as Beginner level adult skiers and snowboarders.
  • Terms of use
You can purchase this discounted ski pass directly on our website when booking your lessons or at the esf ticket office on site.

This pass is only valid if you are accompanied by an instructor. It cannot be used independently, outside of lessons. If you don’t use it during your first lesson, it will be activated at your first gate pass and can be used the following day.

This pass is available for half-day, 5-day, or 6-day durations.

Other ski passes
Other ski passes must be purchased directly at the ski lift ticket offices or online.
For more information on the different ski passes and their prices, please check our website.

Take out insurance

Students are not insured by esf Les Saisies, so we recommend the CARRÉ NEIGE insurance.

Carré Neige provides all the necessary insurance and assistance coverage in case of an accident during your stay. Benefit from the expertise of top professionals and comprehensive services: from on-piste rescue and ambulance transport to ski pass reimbursements.

It protects you and your family, helping to avoid the often high costs associated with mountain accidents. So, for peace of mind while skiing: whether alone, with family, or friends, think CARRÉ NEIGE.
