Is insurance included with the lessons?
No, insurance is not included with the lessons. For more information, please visit our dedicated page: "Take out Insurance".
How do I choose my meeting point?
Choose the meeting point closest to your accomodation.
Please note that not all services are available at every meeting point.

Seasonal Course

Does my child need a ski pass?
Lessons that take place in the Club Piou-Piou don't require a ski pass. However, depending on your child's progress during the season, a pass may be needed later on: your instructors will let you know. Ski passes are free for children under 5 and can be obtained at the lift ticket office. 
Which ski pass is needed for this course?
A ski pass for the Les Saisies ski area is required for these lessons.

Club Nounours

How to get my child ready for Club Nounours?
Remember to bring:
  • a comforter (teddy bear),
  • a dummy (if needed),
  • a small snack,
  • a pair of slippers,
  • nappies (if needed),
  • a change of clothes.
And everything your child needs to play outside:
  • ski clothes,
  • boots,
  • mittens,
  • hat,
  • sunglasses,
  • sunscreen.
Is lunch included with full-day care?
No, full-day care combines the morning and afternoon sessions, but you’ll need to pick up your child between 12pm and 2pm.

Club Piou-Piou

What gear should my child bring?
  • Your child should be properly equipped (boots, skishelmet) and dressed warmly.
  • Please also provide a small snack (for example, a packet of biscuits for the week).
Which ski pass is required for these lessons?
No ski pass is required for the Club Piou-Piou.
What happens during the medal ceremony?
On Fridays, your child’s progress is celebrated with the Piou-Piou test. Each child receives a medal from their instructor at the end of the lesson.
Is lunch included with full-day lessons? 
No, full-day lessons combines the morning and afternoon sessions, but you’ll need to pick up your child between 12pm and 2pm.

Children Group Lessons

What gear should my child bring?
Your child should be properly equipped (boots, skis, helmet) and dressed warmly. For the little ones, slip a small snack into their pocket.
Does my child need ski poles for the Ourson?
No, your child won't need ski poles for Ourson lessons.
Does my child need ski poles?
  • For the Flocon level, ski poles are not needed on the first day. After that, check with the instructor for the rest of the week.
  • From the 1st Étoile level onward, your child will need ski poles starting with the very first lesson.
When does the star test take place, and how does it work?
At the end of the week, your child’s progress will be celebrated with the star test. Each child will get a medal from their instructor.
Which ski pass does my child need?
For all levels: your child will need a "Les Saisies" ski pass
  • For the Ourson, Flocon, and 1st Étoile levels, you can order the ski pass on our website at the same time as booking your ski lessons. This discounted pass is ONLY valid if your child is accompanied by an instructor.
  • And if your child is under 5 years old, don’t buy a pass, it’s free! You can collect it at the lift ticket offices.
What is the maximum number of students?
Our groups are made up of a maximum of 12 students.

Team Rider Course

How old do you have to be to sign up for the Team Rider Course?
The Team Rider course is aimed at children and teenagers from the age of 9, who have already achieved an Étoile d'Argent or Classe 3 level.
Which ski pass is required for the Team rider course?
The "Espace Diamant" ski pass is required for this course.
What type of protective gear do I need for the Team Rider course?
For the Team Rider course, we ask all participants to wear a helmet and back protector.
How are level groups formed?
Depending on numbers, teenagers may be grouped with children.

Ski d'Or Course

What is the minimum level required to take part in the Ski d'Or course?
Your child must have at least the Flèche d'Argent level to take part in the Ski d'Or course.
What is the minimum level required to take part in the Ski d'Or course?
  • Under 14s: Flèche d'Argent level.
  • From age 14: Flèche de Vermeil level.
What is the minimum level required to take part in the Ski d'Or course?
The Flèche de Vermeil level is required to take part in this course.
Which ski pass do I need for the Competition and Ski d'Or courses?
A "Les Saisies" ski pass is required for these lessons.

Snowboard Course

How old do you have to be to sign up for a snowboarding course?
Snowboarding courses are aimed at children aged 8 and over.
Which ski pass do I need for the Snowboard course?
A "Les Saisies" ski pass is required for this course.
Do I need to know how to ski to sign up?
Snowboarding is a very different discipline from skiing, and does not require the same technical skills. That's why you don't need to know how to ski to try snowboarding!
Where is the meeting point for snowboard lessons?
Meeting point for lessons in the resort centre (below the skiers' bridge, along the Challiers car park).
What is the maximum number of students?
Our groups are made up of a maximum of 12 students.

Teens Group Lessons

What ski pass do I need for this course?
  • From Beginner to Advanced level (Class 3): the "Les Saisies" ski pass is required. For beginners, you can order it on our website at the same time as your ski lessons. This ski pass is valid ONLY if you are accompanied by an instructor.
  • For Expert level (Class 4): Opt for the "Espace Diamant" ski pass.

Private Lessons

Will there be other people following these lessons with me?
No, this is a private lesson. You can sign up with up to 4 people from your group, but you won’t be joined with other students.

Adaptive skiing

Is the equipment included?
Yes, we provide sit-skis and audio-guidance equipment. However, standing skiers will need to bring their own equipment: alpine skis, ski poles, boots, and helmet.
Do I need a ski pass?
Yes, the ski pass is not included with the lesson. You will need to purchase a lift pass for the duration of the course.

Snow and Mountain

What equipment do I need for my off-piste outing?
Equipment is not included in the price. Please bring your own off-piste equipment and safety gear.
What equipment do I need for my ski touring trip?
Equipment is not included in the price. Please bring your ski touring equipment: touring skis, boots and skins as well as the necessary safety equipment.

NORDIC

  • Skating, on the other hand, involves a skating motion similar to rollerblading or ice skating, requiring better balance and a more dynamic technique. Skating is generally faster and more demanding, while classic skiing offers a calmer, more controlled approach. That’s why having some experience with classic skiing can help reduce apprehension.
Which ski pass do I need for these lessons?
You will need a ski pass to access the Nordic area for this lesson (if you have the "Espace Diamant" Alpine ski pass, access to the Nordic area is included).
What is the meeting point for these lessons?
The meeting point for nordic lessons is at the top of the Nordic area, at the Parking du Signal, next to the Chalet esf.
How many students are in each group for these lessons?
Our groups consist of up to 12 students, with a minimum of 4 required for the course to run. Depending on enrollment, groups may include both children and adults.

Biathlon Group Lessons

Which ski pass do I need for biathlon lessons?
  • For Biathlon 22LR: A ski pass for access to the Nordic area will be required (if you have the "Espace Diamant" Alpine pass, access to the Nordic area is included).
  • For Compressed Air and Laser Biathlon: No ski pass is needed on the first day. Please check with the instructor for subsequent days.
Where is the meeting point for the biathlon lessons?
The meeting point for lessons is at the top of the Nordic area, next to the "Le Signal" sports centre.
How many students are in each group for the biathlon course?
Each group can include up to 8 students.
How many students are in each group for the biathlon course?
The Biathlon Initiation and Biathlon Discovery courses can include up to 8 students.
The Premium Biathlon course can include up to 6 students.
How does the Biathlon course work?
The children will take part in 2 sessions of Biathlon with Laser rifles (Monday and Tuesday), followed by 3 sessions of Biathlon with Compressed Air rifles (Wednesday to Friday).
How does the Biathlon course work?
For the Biathlon Discovery course: you will do 2 sessions of Biathlon with compressed air rifles (Monday and Tuesday), then 3 sessions of Biathlon with 22 LR rifles (Wednesday to Friday).
For the Premium Biathlon course: the 5 sessions will be with 22LR rifles.

Should I come as a classic or skating cross-country skier?
You can choose to come on classic or skating cross-country skis. Biathlon is traditionally skating, but for beginners we recommend classic skiing, which is easier to start with.

  • For Compressed Air and Laser Biathlon: no ski pass is required.
  • For the 22LR Biathlon: A ski pass for access to the Nordic area will be required (if you have the "Espace Diamant" Alpine ski pass, access to the Nordic area is included).

Snowshoes

Is the equipment provided?
No, you must bring your own equipment for snowshoe outings: snowshoes, poles, rucksack, water bottle and light clothing.

The meeting point is in front of the school at the Centre station.
